Easter Juice Jam - Sat, Apr. 12 at 10:30

Celebrate the season with your little ones at our Easter Juice Jam!  

Juice Jam is an interactive music program for ages 6 and under.  Join us for songs and rhythm instruments, lots of audience participation, and a snack - Saturday, April 12 at 10:30 am at the Library!

Older kids are welcome to enjoy our weekly drop-in LEGO Club, while the younger ones jam!

Gardening Q&A - Sat. Apr. 5 at 10:30 am

Don't let the weather discourage you!  Spring is here and gardening season is on its way. 
Come to the Library on Sat. Apr. 5 at 10:30 am for Gardening Q&A with the MAD Gardeners!



Members of MAD (Merrickville And District) Gardeners will be at the Library to answer questions and help with your gardening dilemmas.   They will also give a short seed-starting demo.

Off the Shelf! (Mon., Apr. 14, 7:00 pm):  

Theatre Night in Merrickville's Off the Shelf continues with a variety of short stories and other literary tidbits for adult listeners.  This month, our guest host is Bob Stanley.  Light refreshments available.

Do More with your iPad (Sat. Apr. 26, 10:30 am):

iPads are easy to use – except when they aren’t. Come for an iPad tutorial with Robert Gray covering the basics and more!

Children's Programs:

Join us for an Easter-themed music program with simple songs & rhymes, rhythm instruments, lots of audience participation, and a snack!   Juice Jam is fun for ages 6 & under (& a parent).

StoryTime: Starting Kindergarten?  (Fridays at 10(ish):

Is your child starting school this year?  Our weekly StoryTime is an excellent way to help your child get ready - by participating in group activities, practicing listening and pre-literacy skills, and developing enthusiasm for books.  The library also has concept books (letters, numbers, colours, shapes, etc.) and books with rhyme, repetition, phonics activities, and more to encourage language skills and early learning.  Research shows that early literacy programs improve school readiness.  Join us for stories, songs & rhymes and a simple craft.  New StoryTimers are always welcome.  StoryTime will be cancelled on Good Friday (Apr. 18).

LEGO Club (Saturdays between 10:00 and 12 noon):   

Our LEGO Club drop-in continues in April.  Come for a brick-filled hour of building fun for ages 4+.

Get More from your iPhone Tutorial (Sat. Mar. 22, 10:30 am):  

iPhones have amazing capabilities – you can even use them as telephones! 

Find out what else you can do with your iPhone at this seminar with John Harris.  

The tutorial will cover basic capabilities, iPhone versions & contracts, settings & add-on hardware, and then look at how to access: news, weather, email, Library eBooks/eAudiobooks, word processing, plus other useful & fun applications.
