Mark you calendars for the season finale of "Off the Shelf" at the Library on Monday, July 21 at 7:00 pm.

The evening will feature a delightful literary reading/performance by Will Jenkins!  Don't miss it.

TD Summer Reading Club Maker Activities
 - Thurs July 17, 1:00 - 2:00 for kids K to Gr. 3
Have fun making stuff at the library.  Continues through the summer.

Brenda Carter Memorial Art Workshop for Kids:
 - Thurs July 17, 2:00 - 3:00 for kids Gr. 4 and up
Make a mosaic with local artist Debbie Alexander ("Creative Play & Art Exploration for Children and Adults”).  Part of the TD Summer Reading Club Maker Activities.

StoryTime - Fri, July 18, 10:00(ish)
Stories, songs and a simple craft for ages 6 and under.  This week's theme:  Bugs!

LEGO Club - Sat, July 19, 10:00am - 12:00 noon 
Bring a friend and come for brick-building fun.

Love Pokemon?  Bring your cards and come to the Library to show off your Pokémon card collection, battle and play games.

French Club (for Kids) - starts July 9

French Club  - starts Wed, July 9 at 6:30 pm!
 
Come to the Library for our new French Club for kids!  

Join us for a variety of fun activities (LEGO, games, crafts, whatever) while speaking French.  This time we will have some outdoor activities (weather permitting).  
Kids can also check out French books as part of the Summer Reading Club.  

If you are interested in French Club but can’t make this meeting, contact the library (or 613-269-3326). 

Juice Jam (music activity for kids) - July 5

Polly Beach is back for another Juice Jam - a music activity for kids aged 7 and under - at Merrickville Library on Sat, July 5 at 10:30 am.

Join us for songs and rhythm instruments - and lots of audience participation.  And, of course, juice and a snack.

Older children are also welcome to enjoy building with our LEGO Club from 10 - 12 noon.

Summer Reading Club Activities start Thurs. July 3

The TD Summer Reading Club has started at Merrickville Library!

All kids are welcome to join our Reading Club.  
Read library books to get prize tickets and stickers.
You can also join us for a variety of fun activities 
(participating in activities is not required to be part of the Reading Club)

Our "Maker Activities" start Thursday, July 3.
Activities run from:

• 1:00 - 2:00 for kids from K to Gr. 3
• 2:00 - 3:00ish for kids in Gr. 4 and up

Join us to make fun stuff and pick out great books to read!
This week the kids in our younger group are making "Grass heads", 
and kids in our older group will be making "Paper Twirler Decorations".
