Author Reading (Tues, June 2, 10:30 am): 
The library will be welcoming Brockville mystery writer Perry Prete for an author reading and discussion on June 2.  Join him as he reads from his latest book and talks about the writing process.  The library’s book club is sponsoring this visit, but all are welcome. 

Youth Group Movie (Sat, June 13, 1:00 pm)

Come join Youth Group for a Saturday afternoon movie.  The popcorn's on us!  Youth Group is for ages 10-14.
 
Online/Distance Education Open House (Mon, June 15, 2:00 – 4:00pm): 
Interested in continuing your education or improving your skills – in the convenience of your own community?  Contact North can help!  Find out how at an Open House on June 15.  Contact North provides access to thousands of courses and online programs – ranging from basic skills and high-school equivalency to degrees from Ontario colleges and universities.  Continuing education courses for seniors, too!  Drop by and find out what’s available for you.  


Tick Talk (Mon, June 15, 7:00 pm): 
Ticks and Lyme Disease are a growing problem in our area.  Find out the risks, and learn how to identify ticks and protect yourself, your family, and your pets at this information session by Nick Previsich. 

Movie Club! (Thurs, June 25, 2:00 pm):
The library’s new movie club features fine films followed by tea and discussion.  The group meets monthly - Contact the library to find out what’s playing in June. 

Mac User Group (Sat. Jun 27, 10:30 am): 
Join our Mac user group with Bob Gray for tips on mastering your Mac. 

Get Started with Library eBooks (Thursdays, 6:00-8:30 pm (drop-in) or by appointment):   

Learn how to access eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library on your eReader, tablet, or phone! 

Activities for Kids:
Thomas the Tank Engine Play Day (Sat, June 20, 10 am - 4 pm): 
Calling all Thomas the Tank Engine fans!  Come to the library on June 20 to play with Thomas, Percy, James and other steamies!  We’ll have trains, tracks, and everything you need for some great adventures – plus Thomas books, dvds, crafts and activity sheets to enjoy!  Bring your dad for fabulous Father’s Day fun. 

StoryTime (Fridays, 10ish):
Join us for stories, songs & rhymes and a simple craft.  New StoryTimers are always welcome. 


LEGO Club (Saturdays, 10-12):
Our LEGO Club drop-in continues in June.

Plant Sale Fundraiser - Sat, May 23!

Friends of the Library’s Bring & Buy Plant Sale
(Sat, May 23, 9:00am - 12:00noon, beside the Royal Bank): 

Get great plants at great prices while you help support the library!  A wide assortment of plants will be available. 

This is a Bring & Buy event - the Friends gratefully accept donations of plants for the sale.  If you have plants you would like to donate, pick-up can be arranged.
