Art Sale Fundraiser (starts Nov. 6):
The library is being invaded by polar bears! Local artist Gloria Stowell has donated a series of her small mixed-media paintings as a library fundraiser. Proceeds from the sale of these whimsical “On Top of an Iceberg” paintings, featuring polar bears and vibrant colours, will go to our Children’s department. Come by to enjoy the display of these lovely works of art (and do a little Christmas shopping). Our thanks to Gloria for this generous donation of her work.
Gloria will also be leading a Brenda Carter Memorial Art Workshop for Kids this month (see below).
Off the Shelf! (Mon, Nov. 16, 7:00 pm):
Enjoy another relaxing evening of literary entertainment as our talented readers share a variety of entertaining stories and other readings for adult listeners - pleasant company and light refreshments also included. This month’s theme is “Myth and Mysteries”.
Movie Club (Thurs, Nov. 19, 2:00 pm):
Movie Club continues to meet once a month for a film & discussion. This month’s movie is “A Beautiful Mind”. New members welcome.

Brenda Carter Memorial Art Workshop for Kids (Sat, Nov. 21, 1:30 pm):
oin us for another art workshop for kids in memory of Brenda Carter. Kids age 9+ will be making a seasonal work of art with local artist Gloria Stowell. Registration required.
PA Day Movie (Fri, Nov. 27, 2:00 pm):
What’s better than a PA Day? A PA Day with a movie! Come for an afternoon movie for ages 5 and up. Contact the Library for details.

Read to Every Kid Challenge:
Help pick Leeds & Grenville’s favourite picture book! Read this year’s selection of 10 books with your kids and have them and vote for their favourite. Borrow the set of books from the library and enjoy! Check out the videos of local celebrities reading the books on our Facebook page! The Challenge continues to January.

Read to Every Kid Challenge is back!
Help choose Leeds-Grenville's favourite children’s book!
The Read to Every Kid Challenge is kicking off its 5th year this month!
Children and parents are invited to read the 10 selected picture books and then vote for their favourite.
The books are available to borrow at the library - and join us for a special StoryTime on Friday, Oct. 16, at 10:00 am to enjoy this year's books!
This is a county wide literacy initiative that promotes the importance of daily reading to children.
