What's Happening in December!
Christmas in Merrickville (Sat, Dec. 5):
The Library will be a part of the Christmas in Merrickville fun. Drop by for a festive Juice Jam with Polly Beach at 1:00 pm!
Afterschool Christmas Crafts (Wed, 3:45 – 4:30):
Join our Christmas makerspace! Come for afterschool crafts - for both younger school-agers and older kids - on Wednesdays (Dec. 2 – 23).
Movie Club (Thurs, Dec. 17, 2:00 pm):
Come this month to enjoy a festive Christmas film and some goodies. New movie-enthusiasts are welcome. Movie Club will continue their film afternoons in January.
Off the Shelf (Mon., Dec. 21, 7:00 pm):
Join us for a holiday Off the Shelf with entertaining Christmas and Winter Solstice readings, plus classic Christmas music from our special musical guests. Good cheer and light refreshments will be available.
Holiday Hours:
The library will be CLOSED
But, the library will be OPEN
We will be back to our regular schedule starting Sat, Jan. 2.

We're sad to say that the Brenda Carter Memorial Art Workshop for Kids (scheduled for Sat, Nov. 21) is POSTPONED!

Art Sale Fundraiser - starts Nov. 6
Art Sale Fundraiser:
The library is being invaded by polar bears!
Local artist Gloria Stowell has donated a series of her small mixed-media paintings as a library fundraiser.
Proceeds from the sale of these whimsical “On Top of an Iceberg” paintings, featuring polar bears and vibrant colours, will go to our Children’s department.
The sale starts Friday, Nov. 6. Come by to enjoy the display of these lovely works of art (and do a little Christmas shopping). Our thanks to Gloria for this generous donation of her work.
