The Library will be on reduced hours during the week of Aug. 25 - Sept. 1.

•  Mon, Aug. 25 - Library CLOSED
• Tues, Aug. 26 - Library OPEN (10:00 - 12:00 & 1:00 - 5:00 pm)
• Wed, Aug. 27 - Library OPEN (6:00 - 8:30 pm)
• Thurs, Aug. 28 - Mon, Sept. 1 - Library CLOSED 

 The Library will re-open on Tues, Sept. 2 with our NEW HOURS

• Mondays:  2 - 5 pm & 6 - 8:30 pm 
• Tuesdays:  10 - 12 & 2 - 5 pm
• Wednesdays:  2 - 5 pm & 6 - 8:30 pm 
• Thursdays:   2 - 5 pm & 6 - 8:30 pm 
• Fridays:  2 -5 pm
• Saturdays:  10 am - 4 pm
•  StoryTime will continue on Friday mornings at 10(ish)

Activities for Kids - Changes for Aug. 20-30!

Please note the following changes to our Summer Children's Programs for Wed, Aug. 20 - Sat, Aug. 30:  

• French Club  - has ended for the summer, and will NOT run on Wed, Aug. 20.  J'espère que vous avez eu du plaisir au "French Club!"
• Summer Reading Club  - both groups will meet at 1:00 on Thurs, Aug. 21 for our Summer Wrap-Up Party (and we'll hand out prizes!).
  Note:  Tues, Aug. 19 is the last day to put in tickets for our summer reading prizes!
• StoryTime  - will be cancelled on Fri, Aug. 22 & 29.
• LEGO Club  - will be cancelled on Sat, Aug. 23 & 30.

We hope everyone has enjoyed our programs this summer!

Library will be open during the Fair!

The Merrickville Fair is in town this weekend - Aug. 8, 9, & 10!
 
The Library will be Open for our regular Friday morning StoryTime (at 10ish) and our regular Saturday hours during the Fair. 

Our Librarian, Mary Kate, will be reading stories in the Fair's Kid Zone on Sun, Aug. 10 at 2:00 pm.  Drop by for a fun farm story!

Library Activities in August!

The Library’s summer activities for kids continues in August!  For more information, please contact the library (or 613-269-3326).  Also, the library will be on reduced vacation hours from Aug. 22 to Sept. 1 - see below for details.

TD Summer Reading Club! (to Aug. 21): 
The library is running the TD Summer Reading Club “Eureka!” to encourage reading for kids of all ages!  If you’re not involved yet, it’s not too late!  Get a ticket our Prize Draw for each book read.  
We also have “maker activities” on Thursday afternoons (to Aug. 21).

• 1:00 - for kids K to Gr 3
• 2:00 - for kids Gr 4 & up

French Club (Wednesdays, 6:30 pm to Aug. 20):  
French Club is a hit!  Join us for a variety of fun activities (games, LEGO, crafts, whatever) while speaking French.  And check out French books for the Summer Reading Club.  Thanks to Colleen Perkins, Cheryl Harper, Marie-Josee Pinel, and all the moms for helping with the club.

LEGO Club (Saturdays, 10 - 12 noon):  
Building with LEGO is another great maker activity, and our LEGO Club continues on Saturday mornings between 10 and noon.   Lego Club will be cancelled Aug. 23 & 30.

StoryTime (Fridays, 10ish):  
StoryTime for ages 6 & under (and a parent/caregiver) continues!   It’s a fun way to prepare for starting school this fall.  StoryTime is cancelled Aug. 22 & 29.

Museum Passes:  
Borrow a family pass for Ottawa museums:  Canadian History, Nature, Science & Technology, Agriculture, Space, War - and the Ottawa Museum Network.
