Off the Shelf! (Mon., Sept. 15, 7:00 pm):
Our popular "Readings for Adults" program is back for a new season! Back this month by popular demand - “To Be Continued” – our cut-throat improve storytelling game. Don't miss it!
Holistic Nutrition Series (Tues, Sept 16 &23, 3:00 pm):
Join Karin Martinelli (RHN) of Tilia Blossom Wellness for this 4-part holistic nutrition workshop series on ‘The Foundation of Good Health’, starting this month and continuing in Oct. This month will cover ‘Good Digestion Basics’ (tips to improve your digestion to feel energetic and healthy) and ‘Liver Love’ (easy tips to improve you liver’s health).
Guitar Basics Workshop (Sat., Sept. 13, 1:00 pm):
Interested in exploring the basics of Guitar? Bring a guitar and learn at this free workshop presented by Jordan Rannells of Creative Sound Productions! This introductory workshop is open to aspiring musicians of all ages. Contact the library to register.
Pokemon-palooza (Sat, Sept. 20, 10 am-12 noon):
Love Pokemon? Bring your cards and come to the Library to show off your Pokémon card collection, battle and play games. For ages 6 and up.
Juice Jam (Sat. Sept. 27, 10:30 am):
Polly Beach is back with a fall-themed Juice Jam - singing, rhythm instruments, lots of audience participation, and juice! - for ages 7 & under.
Brenda Carter Memorial Art Workshops for Kids (Sat., Sept. 27, 1:00 pm):
Join Debbie Alexander (of “Creative Play & Art Exploration for Children and Adults”) for a Cartooning workshop! Whether you’re inspired by superheroes, manga, or Captain Underpants, this workshop is a great place to learn some basic cartoon techniques. For ages 9+.
StoryTime (Fridays, 10ish):
Bring your toddler or preschooler (ages 5 & under) to the library for StoryTime Friday mornings at 10:00(ish). Our drop-in StoryTime is a great way to develop your child’s early literacy and group interaction skills in a fun and relaxed setting. StoryTime uses the Every Child Ready To Read pre-literacy programming which promotes 6 key skills for toddlers and preschoolers that will help them to become successful readers in school. StoryTime helps build these skills using stories related to a theme, songs, rhymes & rhythm instruments, and a simple craft. New StoryTimers are always welcome! September’s themes are: Colours, Apples, Firefighters, and Reptiles!
LEGO Club (Saturdays, 10 - 12 noon):
Our Saturday morning LEGO drop-in continues in Sept. Join us for brick-filled building fun for ages 4+.
