Library Events in January!

Happy New Year!

Brrr!  It's January!  But the Library has lots of great activities to make the winter fly by.

Off the Shelf (Mon. Jan. 5, & Jan. 19, 7:00 pm):
Come for a special Off the Shelf on Jan. 5 - featuring St. George and the Dragon, a puppet pantomime, performed by Brian Bell (for adults and kids age 9+).

Join us on Jan. 19 for a light-hearted potpourri of readings for adults with host Martin Green to brighten up the long winter nights!

Health Impacts: Resolving Resolutions (Wed, Jan 7, 7:00 pm):

What works and what doesn't when committing to a New Year’s resolution?   Join Dr. Katie Weststrate, ND for tips on making your resolution (weight loss, habit-breaking, or anything else) work for you!

Family Literacy Day StoryTime - with this year's "Read to Every Kid" Winner

(Sat, Jan. 24, 10:30 am):
Join us for a special StoryTime to celebrate Family Literacy Day and to announce the winning book in this year's "Read to Every Kid" Contest.  Come for stories, craft, and a snack!

Brenda Carter Memorial Art Workshop for Kids (Sat, Jan. 24, 1:00 pm - snow date: Jan. 31):

Come and paint a winter scene (acyrilic paints) with local artist Debbie Alexander (of Creative Play & Art Exploration for Children & Adults).  For kids aged 8+.  Space is limited - registration required.

Mac Computer Workshop (Sat. Jan. 31, 10:30 am):

Join our Mac user group with Bob Gray for tips on mastering your Mac.

iPad/ iPhone or eReader Help:
If Santa brings you a new device (or you’re still trying to figure out the one he gave you last year), the Library can help!  Contact us about iPad/iPhone workshops (with Bob Gray), or help accessing library eBooks on your eReader (or other device).
