Library Events in March!

There’s lots going on at the Library in March: a new “Books with Babies” program, our new Youth Group, and lots of activities for March Break – plus our regular programs:  Off the Shelf, our Mac User Group, StoryTime & LEGO Club.

Mac User Group (Sat. Mar. 7, 10:30 am):  
Join our Mac user group with Bob Gray for tips on mastering your Mac.

Youth Group (Saturdays in March, 1:00 pm):  
Our new youth group (for kids aged 10-14) will be running on Saturday afternoons in March.  Come do fun stuff and hang out with friends!  Contact the Library for more info.
Mar. 7 - Games!

Off the Shelf! (Mon, Mar. 16, 7:00 pm):  
Off the Shelf continues to delight audiences with short stories and other literary gems for adult listeners.  Expect the unexpected! 

Books with Babies (starts Tues, Mar. 17, 10:30 am):  
Parents with their babies (birth to 12 months) are invited to a fun, interactive story time program that promotes the importance of reading with your child(ren) from birth.  This is a free 6-week program (to Apr. 21) presented by an Early Literacy Specialist from the Ontario Early Years Centre.
 
March Break Maker Space!:  
The library has a variety fun activities for school-aged kids during March Break.  
Please Note:  Space is limited in our Maker activities  – Registration required!

Juice Jam (Sat., Mar. 14, 10:30 am):  
Join Polly Beach for a music program with simple songs & rhymes, rhythm instruments, lots of audience participation, and a snack!   Juice Jam is fun for ages 7 & under (& a parent).

LEGO Club (Saturdays, 10 - 12 drop-in):  
LEGO Club continues throughout March.  Come build with us on Mar. 14 and your creation will be on display for March Break!  Ages 4+.

Make Easter Eggs! (Mon., Mar. 16, 2:00 pm):  
Join us for Easter Maker fun blowing and decorating eggs!   For ages 5+.

Make a Flashlight! (Tues, Mar. 17, 2:00 pm):  
Come for Science Maker fun and build your own flashlight.  For ages 8+.

Brenda Carter Memorial Art Workshop for Kids (Wed., Mar. 18 at 2:00 pm):  
Come for Art Maker fun as we paint with simple watercolour techniques.  Make flowers and fairies or monsters and aliens!  For ages 5+.

Origami with Max! (Thurs, Mar. 19, 2:00 pm):  
Origami Maker fun with Max!  For ages 8+.

Movie Time (Fri, Mar. 20, 2:00 pm):  
Come and enjoy an afternoon of kid-friendly movies – bring a friend!  Ages 5+.

StoryTime (Fridays, 10ish):
StoryTime runs every Friday (including March Break). Join us for stories, songs, rhymes and a simple craft.
